A Budget Canon Camcorder

I’ve been mulling over this buying decision for about two weeks already. I’ve been planning to buy a camcorder since last year but I always end up postponing it. Mind you, this is not exactly necessary, more like an indulgence. I’d like a camcorder to just record some moments and some of our travels. I don’t want or need a fancy one, just something that works and within my budget range of $200-$350.

I’ve been looking up different camcorders and I have these two picks earmarked. The main thing now is deciding which one I want to buy.

The main difference between the two is the price point and of course the more pricey one has more added features. I’m thinking this over, if I need the features or not. Otherwise, I would like to go for the first option. What do you think? Which one would you pick if it were you making the purchase decision.
